As a Retail Area Manager in Korea, the incumbent person will be in charge of all retail sales activities and development of team and talents in the respective area incl all travel retail boutiques and selective domestic retail boutiques. He/she should have a broaden/collaborative perspective between Travel & Domestic Retail business in VCA. In order to achieve agreed sales target of each boutiques, he/she ensures the implementation of sales strategy and action plan for each boutique and manage all Retail KPIs to increase productivity and efficiency in collaboration with other teams (Retail Ops. Retail Perf. Training, CRM, MKT, CRC etc.). He/she also assure the management of boutiques to deliver the highest quality of client service within Maison’s guideline and value. He/she will directly report to Retail Director.


Role & Responsibilities


1. Sales Management for both Travel & Domestic Boutiques

  • Develop each boutique’s action plan to achieve commercial target and higher performance in terms of qualitative & quantitative aspects
  • Travel Retail business sales management for Sell-in & out planning, monitoring and analysis
  • Manage overall turnover, sales & CS activities and make a relevant commercial decision to safeguard the Maison’s retail/commercial policy
  • Provide monthly sales estimate, sales target for all sales activities (incl. event, Seoul Maison or in-BTQ animation etc.)
  • Monitor and analysis on weekly sales trend in both quantity and qualitative way
  • Analise and evaluate monthly sales results, collect and provide qualitative feedbacks
  • Support boutiques to identify & develop the High Jewelry/High Ticket clients and business incl. SNR management

2. Operations for both Travel & Domestic Boutiques

  • Directly supervise the daily operations of the boutiques in the area incl. travel retail environment as well. Align with the corporate requirements of compliance & service standard in collaboration with Retail Ops. Internal audit, Finance, IT team
  • Manage merchandise operation for Travel Retail boutiques : distribution, manage local requirement
  • Regular visit to the boutiques. Make sure the implementation of retail ops. projects and guidelines for both travel retail and retail batuques
  • Help to update the visit feedback report on monthly basis for better tacking & follow-ups in the future
  • With the assistance by Retail Ops. and accountant team, to control the boutiques T&E cost. Ensure they are following the company policy and the compliance requests
  • Be responsible to cross check the individual commission according to the sales invoice and system
  • In charge to check the sales invoice & the relevant supporting documents to meet the compliance requirements
  • Help the Retail Director to ensure the smooth boutique opening & revocation, support with all the on-site arrangements, supervise product/PLV order, monitor the execution of Visual Merchandising, assist with the Human Resource procedures (ie. recruitment, training, dismiss, etc.)
  • Work closely with TR retailers to change/renew any contract or needs in any legal points.

3. Customer Relationship

  • Monitor the handling of those outstanding CS claims within the respective area
  • Improve overall service quality to meet Satisfaction Barometer standard

4. Team Management & Development of Boutiques

  • Define recruitment criteria and conduct the interviews
  • Identify staffs’ potential & the talents in the existing team
  • Assess, define and oversee retail and in-boutique training program to support/minor the integration of staffs
  • Inspires and motivate boutique managers to build a cohesive and productive team
  • Manage boutique managers by monitoring and evaluating performance, and by conducting corrective or disciplinary actions
  • Provide training, coaching & feedback for career development
  • Retain people by motivating team to gain job satisfaction

Qualification


  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Sales and Retail functions in Luxury, Fashion or Retail industry (Jewelry industry experience as a plus)
  • University degree
  • Excellent understanding of retail selling and customer service process and customer behavior in Retail
  • Leadership skill in vital to give the directions and to nurture the commercial team
  • Excellent communication skill and negotiation skill
  • Demonstrate the ability and willingness to make a difference and challenge the status quo
  • Strong analytical skill
  • Ability to communicate effectively and positively to the team and different business stakeholders
  • Problem-solver, service and result oriented, organized, proactive and team player
  • Constant “can-do” attitude
  • Good English skill as a plus
