Job Description


The Merchandising Specialist will drive execution of the commercial agenda and merchandising strategy together with the E-commerce team to meet or exceed financial targets. The Specialist will have a deep interest in the customer and use customer centric approach in everything you do. The role will have merchandising knowledge and understand synergies between channels, and interest in product, strong analytical ability, and commercial skills, enabling you to constantly improve customer shopping experience in market. The role will create strong buy-in which will help to implement and execute regional strategy.


Core Responsibilities includes but not limited to:

Give input on regional commercial plan

  • Provide input on the commercial plan to regional merchandise managers in order to secure best possible offer for the customer in the market

Implement and execute

Drive execution of commercial agenda and merchandising strategy together with the E-commerce team to meet or exceed financial and customer targets

  • Execute regional direction related to assortment

  • Be up to date with regional assortment and supply & demand strategy

  • Follow-up on stock and resolve issues together with regional Merchandising manager and E-commerce Lead

  • Execute sale and EOP in line with the regional strategy

Ensure local relevance

Provide input to Region about local market & channel situation, customer needs, and shopping behavior and adapt commercial plan accordingly

  • Know your market situation and customer profile

  • Give input to Regional team about local relevance and market potentials from price and assortment perspective

  • Optimize local selling peaks driven by calendar and customer shopping behavior

  • Provide commercial team with constant & structured sales follow-up for the channel

  • Review your commercial plan periodically and suggest improvements for coming periods and next year

  • Adapt regional commercial strategy to local needs together with E-commerce team

Support and develop

Ensure that the market organization is up to date with assortment knowledge and provide commercial follow up

  • Provide assortment knowledge and merchandising training to sales team

  • Update commercial team with assortment decision and actions initiated by regional merchandising managers

  • Close collaboration with E-commerce Leads and logistics to secure garment flow execution

  • Follow-up commercial results and KPIs and benchmark between countries

  • Follow up on local adaptation of regional commercial planning

Additional Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for sales and reduction of assigned concept for the E-commerce channel


Qualifications


Education & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Deep E-commerce understanding.

  • Sales driven and have a strong commercial awareness, salesmanship for day-to-day optimization of site and product performance.

  • Deep understanding of products, stock- and product lifecycle-management.

  • Strong in driving results and constantly improving ways of working

  • Analytical to follow up and estimate performance. Strong interest in data. Previous experience within web analytics using Google analytics or similar is meriting.

  • Strong communication skills and fluent in English, both written and spoken

  • Very good skills in MS Office, especially in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Able to work independently and be self-motivated while still working within a team environment and fostering a strong team collaboration

  • Omni retail understanding

  • Overall assortment understanding

  • Ability to travel domestically up to 10% of time

  • Flexibility and adaptable to change, a strategic mindset

Experience

  • 2+ years of experience with retail Buying or Planning or Ecommerce category Management

  • Product category management.

  • Planning, buying, stock- and product lifecycle-management.
